Zema Estate 2009 Cluny Cabernet Merlot
Coonawarra SA | 14.0 per cent alcohol | $24.95
This is a wine I respect almost as much as the actor of the same name.
Though labelled a cabernet-merlot, it also contains 5 per cent each of cabernet franc and malbec, two of the other permitted varieties in Bordeaux.
The result is a smooth, complex dry red with predominant characters of dark cherries.
